Bridgeport Restoration: 1966 J Head

The Bridgeport to the left looks under the weather but mechanically it was sound. As a added benefit this machine was constructed with chrome bed ways. As a result, this added a great deal of wear  resistance to the surfaces. The scrape marks are still event after 43 years.

 

 

 

The final product after much labor. The saddle and the table were removed for cleaning. All surfaces were cleaned and then filled with automotive filler. The machine was then masked off and sprayed with Polane B industrial coating.
